Dj Mana And The Science Of Turntablism
You wanna know what turntablism means? You wanna know where the scratchin went? Ask Mana or just come listen to him spin and you’ll understand. This guy’s a misunderstood genius and will eventually get all your heads spinning when his art will be “cool” again.
DJ Mana, aka Annam Lê, has been active since 1993. He is known for his seamless mixing, turntablist prowess, and innovative musical compositions. It is difficult to put his style into one genre, as he constantly hybridizes music of various styles. His craftsmanship on the turntables gave rise to his notoriety in the DJ battle circuit and the worldwide turntablist community. As a progressive thinker, Mana aims to push the art of turntablism to new limits, refining its techniques of musical expression.
Soul Mechanics DJ School was founded in 2004 in Montréal, Québec. It provides instruction on DJing, turntablism, and electronic music production. It consists of a network of DJs and producers in Montréal who specialize in different techniques in these fields. The main philosophy behind the school is that knowledge is emergent and constantly changing. Our techniques and methods change and adapt with the current world of DJing and production in order to keep our students up-to-date.

CHECK WHAT WAAHLI HAS TO GIVE AT CAN YOU ROCK ON SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 5TH AT 6PM
Dj Maysr with plenty of style to give away.
Born and raised in N.D.G. and area rich in culture in the heart of Montreal Canada, Maysr bought his first set of Technics 1200s and a mixer in 1994. At the time, his passion for both hip hop and dancehall culture was in full bloom so his musical selection was only natural.
Fast forward to the present, Maysr has made his mark in Montreal as a top notch selector specializing in all forms of jamaican music but can still throw down a dirty hip hop set if need be and can easily adapt to a crowd in order to keep the dance floor packed. As far as reggae is concerned Maysr is known as a juggling selector but he has a heavy arsenal of dubplates that would make some clash selectors jaws drop.
When you see his name on a flyer, you know he’s guaranteed to mash up the dance!

Those tapes would be worth millions through my eyes! He’s still collects 45s and rareties and spins from here to there with his vinyls.

CATCH HER AT THE CAN YOU ROCK JAM AT 3PM ON SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 5TH
Tronald Trump The Giant Millionaire
Tron’s been around this jam since day one. Always down to help, always down to dj and most importantly always down to chill! This green giant is coming to bring the ruckus in a very peaceful way.
Here’s what he’s got to say about his past:
It’s pretty simple.
I started out playing Hip-Hop at the age of 17. I played alongside friends and mentors such as Rilly Guilty, Skratch Bastid, DJ Static of Wefunk and many others. I held a residency at the infamous Stay Fly Thursdays with Skratch Bastid and did many other parties around town. I was even lucky enough to play with DJ Premier…
I now focus on the House game (I saw it coming a long time ago). I play “whatever you want to call it” House music. You might have seen me playing records with some local heavy hitters and International taste makers such as Treasure Fingers, Kill The Noise, Kingdom, Rob Threezy, Ghislain Poirier, Lunice, Truspin, Mayday, 84.85, Keys n Krates, Grandtheft, Drastik, Roska, Mary Anne Hobbs, Godfather Dee and many others…
Always up to no good, always working on new things… Get at me
